WQA announces new leadership roles in Membership department

The Water Quality Association has announced two leadership changes in the Membership department: Marketing & Communications Director Wes Bleed has been named to the new and expanded role of Membership, Marketing & Communications Director, and Heather Duve becomes the new Membership and Development Associate Director. The changes are effective immediately.

Water treatment dealer DJ Shannahan, taking the reins as Water Quality Association President during the COVID-19 pandemic, pledges to foster engagement across the wide spectrum of WQA members. Revised Code of Ethics is effective Jan. 1, 2020

The Water Quality Association’s revised Code of Ethics, which guides members in the use of marketing terms aligned with those published in the WQA Knowledge Base Glossary, goes into effect Jan. 1, 2020. One specific concern addressed by the revisions is companies using the term “water softener” inconsistent with the way industry professionals understand and use it.
