WQRF Webinar: Sustainability Comparison

A WQRF “In the Know” Webinar: Sustainability Comparison: Centralized Treatment Upgrades and POU/POE Treatment for Small System Compliance to the SDWA

Join us to learn about this study, in which WQRF set out to examine the sustainability of point-of-use (POU) and point-of-entry (POE) devices in comparison to upgrades at existing small centralized systems for Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) compliance.  The study examined four real-world case studies through the lens of a “triple bottom line analysis” (people, profit, and planet) over a thirty-year time period.  Join us for a review of the case studies and the results.

Presenter: Kaycie Lane, Ph.D.

Kaycie Lane is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the College of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.   She focuses on research that improves access to safe drinking water and helping small, rural communities assess and manage risk with their water and wastewater infrastructure.
