The Environmental Protection Agency has published its WaterSense Specification for Point-of-Use Reverse Osmosis Systems and has set a Dec. 17 webinar to review the new specifications for manufacturers interested in pursuing a WaterSense label.
POU RO systems that earn the WaterSense label are independently certified to ensure they meet EPA criteria for efficiency and performance, demonstrating that they send no more than 2.3 gallons of water down the drain for every gallon of treated water they produce.
The webinar will provide background information on the WaterSense program; an overview of the final specification, including efficiency and performance criteria; and information on the certification and labeling process for RO systems. EPA will give attendees opportunities to ask questions.
