Member Appreciation Month

Share

We want to thank the entire WQA community and take the month of November to celebrate! You contribute so much, from experts providing webinars and live training sessions, supporting research for the industry, promoting ethics, becoming professionally certified and product certificated, to members participating in critical discussions and attending events. You are our driving force. Thank You.

Special events

WQA is offering its members three special events this month:

WQA Volunteer Summit – Wednesday, Nov. 2

WQA members shared their volunteer group’s unique 2022 goals and accomplishments and gave a brief look ahead to 2023.

Economic Update Webinar – Wednesday, Nov. 9

David Oppedahl, Senior Business Economist in the Economic Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, discussed the general conditions of the U.S. economy, looking at economic trends, employment, inflation and the housing market.

Webinar: Sustainability Comparison: Centralized Treatment Upgrades and POU/POE Treatment for Small System Compliance to the SDWA

Wednesday, Nov. 30, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 CT

Join us to learn about this study, in which the Water Quality Research Foundation set out to examine the sustainability of POU and POE devices in comparison to upgrades at existing small centralized systems for Safe Drinking Water Act compliance.  The study examined four real-world case studies through the lens of a “triple bottom line analysis” (people, profit, and planet) over a 30-year time period.  We’ll review the case studies and the results.

Presenter Kaycie Lane, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the College of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She focuses on research that improves access to safe drinking water and helping small, rural communities assess and manage risk with their water and wastewater infrastructure.
