Whether it’s a threat or opportunity, WQA’s Executive Director Pauli Undesser urges the attendees of the EcoWater Dealer Association not only to recognize the building pressures for professional training and certification, but to be proactive in taking swift action. WQA’s new live Instructor-Led Training courses have helped dozens of water treatment professionals do just that.

Industry leaders with real-world experience in POU/POE water treatment lead lively discussions, answer questions and encourage sharing of ideas in 14 to 16 weekly interactive Zoom sessions. Class sessions are an hour long, and participants spend another 30 minutes to an hour weekly on homework assignments. The courses eliminate the need for learners to find mentors, too.

Companies can register several employees to take the course together as a group, providing support and encouragement for the whole team and keeping them on track with their learning. WQA offers courses that can help prepare pros to take certification exams for Certified Installer, Certified Water Treatment Representative or Certified Water Specialist titles.

In many cases, WQA members could be eligible for rebates of some of the training and exam costs. Details are available at wqa.org/rebate.

New course sessions will begin in early 2023. Registration information will be posted on the WQA website as soon as it’s available and also publicized in the weekly WQA Update e-newsletter.
