Expiration Due to Lack of Credit

A person whose certification has lapsed because he or she failed to earn the required CPD credits must retake and pass their most recent examination in order to become recertified. The recertified person will then begin a new three-year certification cycle, and must earn the required CPD credits within that new cycle. Credits from the previous cycle will not carry over.

Reinstatement by such means may not occur more than 2 cycles in a row. If the certificant fails to obtain sufficient continuing education credit in the third cycle, he/she will be required to complete the Already-Certified education pathway(s) in the MEP and retake the exam(s) for their most recent certification title(s).

For example, a person holding the MWS and CI titles will be required to complete the Already-Certified pathways for both titles and retake both exams. All normal fees for the paths and exams apply.
