This is a 3-course series led by experts instructors for manufacturers’ technical sales and support professionals. The first two modules include live, remote classes and online assignments. The third module is self-paced online learning. Learn about:

  • Identify the problems caused by aesthetic contaminants and test for them
  • Interpret drinking water reports
  • Apply and size POU/POE treatment technologies for aesthetic and drinking water contaminants
  • Multiple-tank control schemes and mixed-bed systems (Self-paced)
  • Sizing systems based on media parameters and EBCT requirements (Self-paced)
  • Resolving ethical dilemmas and complying with anti-trust regulations
  • Interpreting product certification information
  • Consumer protection laws and applying WQA’s Code of Ethics
  • Relevant Field Experience- Minimum of one-year B2B experience in R&D, technical sales/technical support of POU/POE equipment & applications.
  • Complete Prerequisite Coursework- Choose between a fully self-paced online option for all three training modules or instructor-led training plus the self-paced Advanced Treatment Design Course

This 23-week course is WQA’s Introductory Instructor-led course on POU/POE Water Treatment and the first course required for the CWS/CWR/CST/CTD certification titles. It walks the learner through identifying aesthetic problems, onsite testing, interpreting water analyses for aesthetic contaminants, and drinking water regulations. It also discusses selecting and correctly sizing treatment equipment for aesthetic contaminants. The course includes an overview of consumer protection laws, WQA’s Code of Ethics, and the product certification process and standards.

Application & Sizing of POU/POE Treatment for Drinking Water Contaminants

This course focuses on the occurrence, chemical behavior and treatment of contaminants that can be hazardous to health.  It is the final course required for the CWS exam and the second of three for the CTD coursework.

Advanced Design Course

This course includes the treatment processes of deionization and sizing tank-based media systems, a discussion of mixed bed systems, various multi-tank control schemes, and factors affecting the efficiency of residential ion exchange softeners. It is the final module required to be eligible to take the CTD exam.
