Learners completing WQA’s instructor-led training, who received a complimentary exam at the time of purchasing their training, will have 45 days from the last day of class to complete any outstanding homework assignments and schedule their certification exam. Refunds are not issued for complimentary exams. Individuals can still schedule their exam after the 60-day period has expired, by registering and paying for the exam. Note: Exams cannot be scheduled until all homework has been completed and accepted by the instructors. Learners should allow several days’ turn-around time for grading and for the possibility that the homework will not be approved on the first pass.

All exam scheduling requests must be received by WQA at least two weeks prior to the desired test date. The exam must be completed no later than 60 days after the last class.

Example: If the last day of your final course to meet the exam qualifications is Wednesday April 24th, you have 45 days to complete any outstanding homework assignments and schedule your certification exam. The exam date must be no later than 60 days after the last class.

Purchased Exam Cancelation/Rescheduling/Refund Policy

Examinees must provide at least 48 hours notice to cancel their scheduled exam time and reschedule. Refunds are not issued for exam purchases.

Reinstatement of Expired Professional Certification

WQA’s professional certifications are valid for three years. If a person’s certification has not been renewed by the cycle’s expiration date, the certification is considered lapsed or expired. The person will be considered “decertified” and the person’s name will not appear in the online Certified Professionals directory.

Expiration Due to Lack of Credit

A person whose certification has lapsed for failure to earn the required CPD credits must retake and pass their most recent examination in order to become recertified. The recertified person will then begin a new three-year certification cycle, and must earn the required CPD credits within that new cycle. Credits from the previous cycle will not carry over. Reinstatement by such means may not occur more than two cycles in a row.

Expiration Due to Lack of Payment

A person who had already earned all of the required CPD credits needed by the recertification deadline but has allowed the certification to lapse because of non-payment of the certification renewal fee, is eligible to seek reinstatement up to five months after the expiration date and thereby avoid retaking their last certification exam. Reinstatement without examination requires that the eligible person pay the regular certification renewal fee plus an additional $50 reinstatement fee no more than five months after the expiration date.

The reinstated person will then begin a new three-year certification cycle and must earn the required CPD credits within that new cycle. Credits from the previous cycle are considered null and void and will not be carried over. If the person does not meet the reinstatement deadline, he or she must retake their most recent exam to be recertified and pay all applicable exam fees.
