How WQA & TWQA joined forces to advocate for members

A big win for WQA members is discussed on the latest episode of WQA Radio. Our guests are David Davies, CWS, President of Aqua General, Inc. and WQA Government Affairs Manager Jordan Kari.

Davies and Kari explain how WQA, its Texas members and the Texas Water Quality Association were able to work together to change the City of Houston’s specialty plumbing code. The code contained a provision mandating a double-check valve assembly for all water softeners to protect against cross-connection. It was an unnecessary provision that ultimately cost consumers.

WQA’s work on this issue is a great illustration — as we celebrate Member Appreciation Month — of how WQA works to advocate on behalf of member companies and the industry as a whole.
