How to find a single word using the Glossary
The terms in the Glossary are organized into 26 articles, corresponding to the letters of the English alphabet. The article labeled “A” contains all terms beginning with the letter “A”, and so on.
- To find a specific word in the Glossary, either click on the Glossary heading and select the page with the same letter as the one that starts the word you are trying to find, OR
- Enter the word into the Search by Keyword bar.
- The search will return all of the articles that include the word, either as a term or in the definition of a term.
- Open the article of interest and use the “Find” or “Find on page” option in the browser’s menu to quickly locate all instances of the word. The menu in most browsers is the “hamburger” (three stacked dashes) or the vertical ellipsis (three stacked dots) in the upper right corner.
The keyword shortcut to “Find in Page” is Ctrl+F.

Limitations of the Keyword Search
Note that searching for high-frequency words such as “water” or “treatment” will cause the search function to time out.
