Proposed topics, presenters for Orlando event will be accepted through July 31

LISLE, Ill. –The Water Quality Association is inviting potential speakers to submit proposals for education sessions for the 2024 WQA Convention & Exposition on March 5-7, 2024, in Orlando, FL. The convention theme is “Catalyst.”

“Almost any water treatment professional can become a Convention speaker,” said Tanya Lubner, PhD, WQA’s Professional Certification & Training Director. “People who work in the industry daily and who can share knowledge gleaned in the field in a manner that the audience will appreciate are the best presenters.”

Education sessions cover technical topics related to Point-of-Use/Point-of-Entry water treatment or business operations topics appropriate for small or family-owned businesses. All topics are welcome, although the WQA Technical Convention Education Task force has developed some suggestions that are listed on the application form. Proposals should include a title and description for the class along with learning objectives.

When selecting the speakers, WQA will give preference to WQA members and to registered exhibitors. The sessions are intended as learning opportunities and should not contain references to specific products or promote a speaker’s products or services.

Proposals for education sessions are due by July 31, 2023, and must be submitted online using WQA’s form and guidelines. Questions can be directed to education@wqa.org.
